The Mathematical Equation entry allows you to add mathematical formulas directly to your LabArchives page. This entry type supports both TeX and MathML syntax for formatting equations.
To create a new equation, select Mathematical Equation from the +New Add entry menu.
TeX is the default selection and includes the Equation Preview, Equation Builder, and Input Panel. MathML does not include the Equation Builder. Select the info icon next to each format for additional information.

The Equation Preview
As you makes selections from the Equation Builder or input the source code directly into the the Equation Input, the preview automatically updates and displays the final formatted equation as it will display in the saved entry. -
The Equation Builder
The builder panel offers a range of preformatted equation elements (e.g., symbols, operators, functions). Clicking on an element automatically adds the corresponding TeX code to the input field and updates the Equation Preview. The Equation Builder is not available with MathML. -
The Equation Input Field
Type the source code directly into this field rather than using the Equation Builder. If using the Equation Builder, this field is updated with the Source Code.
